Hello !

Before to purchase one of your TentacleSync I would like to understand the synchronisation whole process between a Panasonic GH5 and a Zoom H6 sound recorder. For the Zoom H6 when I have connected a tentacle to a XLR input and synchronised the 2 items, do I have to leave the Tentacle connected to the H6 the whole day or could I disconnect it and then synchronis the GH5 by connecting the Tentacle to the mic input of the GH5 and leave it while I am shooting ?

So in such configuration do I absolutly need 2 tentacles or one only ?

Thanks and regards,

You can get away with one tentacle if the zoom and the camera are together. I’m shooting a lot at the moment with a zoom and either an iphone or a 5d. I have 2 radio mics going into the zoom xlr, I split the feed from the tentacle and send one of the feeds  into the zoom mini jack and the other into the camera. Works very well, of course this system only works if the zoom and the camera are connected by a cable.

Just get two. It makes you life much easier and you‘ll be better prepared if another job comes along requiring different gear
