Synchronise a zoom H6

Hello !

Before to purchase one of your TentacleSync I would like to understand the synchronisation whole process between a Panasonic GH5 and a Zoom H6 sound recorder. For the Zoom H6 when I have connected a tentacle to a XLR input and synchronised the 2 items, do I have to leave the Tentacle connected to the H6 the whole day or could I disconnect it and then synchronis the GH5 by connecting the Tentacle to the mic input of the GH5 and leave it while I am shooting ?

So in such configuration do I absolutly need 2 tentacles or one only ?
