DR 60D MKII two wav files
Hey my Tascam DR-60D MKII records two seperate .wav files for each channel pair (1+2 and 3+4).
I have my mic in channel 1 and the Tentacle in channel 3 as this is the 3,5mm input.
Any idea how to batch combine the .wav files? I need both the mic and the tentacle feed in one file afaik.
EDIT: There’s no option to do this in the recorder.
Did you try if that is possible with Wave Agent from Sounddevices ? It’s free. You might have to do some splitting stereo into mono files, some renaming and then combining again to multichannel. So, it is not a one click route.
Hey tried it but I think I’d have to manually assign each clip a Take number for the program to know which two clips to combine.
That is not the kind of work you are looking forward to.
It is a Tascam design problem to deliver the files like this.
I would import them in ProTools and export them as multichannel audio files. Do you have any kind of audio editor that will do this? Maybe Audacity can do it.
I tried a lot of things with audacity and other programs, I ended up asking a programmer to write a simple batch ffmpeg script that combines the files.
In the future I’ll use a adapter to get my timecode to the second channel input. Thanks for your suggestions!
