Hi, love the product thus far. I’m doing a documentary where we are recording interviews over 17 days. Each night, I will be sending off an mp3 to a transcriber to make transcripts. I was going to create an mp3 where the audio is one track and the timecode is on the other so that the transcribers can put timecode into the transcripts.
My question has to do with the exporting of the media, to create a new clip. Does the timecode generated by tentacle sync become the new timecode for the exported media clip? If so, how do you do this? I’ve tried many tests and it seems as though it’s a different timecode.
Thanks for getting back to me. The transcriber has software to read the audio timecode. I want to have the same timecode when I’m editing in Premiere.
When I created an XML and opened in Premiere, I did not see the tentacle sync generated timecode, only the timecode of the new sequence starting from 1:00:00:00
I then tried exporting as media to create a new file and checked the timecode of that new created clip against the timecode that appears in tentacle sync and they weren’t the same. If this is possible, to replace the timecode of the new clip with the tentacle generated time clip, how do I do this? What buttons do I need to select?
Thanks again for your help.
