Fujifilm XH1 no audio track from external mic using Y cable

Hi there,
I’m using external mic hooking up with the XH1 camera body using y cable bought along the Tentacle sync E. There is only the time code sound but nothing on the camera track from the external mic, I have increased the gain in camera body and changing different mic but no luck, please help.
