Help connecting to Mac OSX set-up

Is any body else having issues with getting the Tentacle to connect to the Mac set-up software? I plug it in and it says connected for a second and then it says not connected and in device name it say Not a Tentacle–??? I tried two Macs (Yosemite and El Capitain). I tried two different cables and two different tentacles. All the same issue.

 

Tentacles are also not being recognized by the IOS app….
