Tentacle doesnt connect

Hi! We have a tentacle original and are experiencing difficulties when trying to connect it to the computer. It is turned on (i have tried both the standard and the 3 seconds) but in Tentacle setup and in tentacle studio it remains not connected. What can be the problem? I have connected via adapter since I only have USB-C ports on my computer, is that a problem? Any suggestions?
