Tentacle update process not starting

Hello I tried on a Mac 10.8.5 and a 10.7.5 but the interface says:

“Tentacle Firmware Update V3.70”

“Activating firmware update mode..”

but the button “Update Firmware” remains grey and nothing happens.

Any cues please?
